Through these pages, we hope you get to know us a little better and find out what our club is all about.
By way of introduction, Glocester is one of the great northwestern towns of Rhode Island which borders the
state of Con- necticut. In the "Ocean State", that means we're about as far away from Narragansett Bay
as you can get. Although we certainly have more deer out here than quahogs, Glocester is none- theless a
great little town known for it's picturesque countryside, magnificent fresh water lakes, and country living.
Our town was originally incorporated in the year 1639 and became formally organized in 1731.
While
Glocester encompasses a large geographic area, it's really just a small local town that we're all proud to call
home. As Lions, we take a lot of pride giving back to our community by assisting those folks out
there who may need a helping hand every now and then.
