A Little Bit About Our Club
The
Glocester Lions Club was originally charted on November 5, 1951. Like all Lions Clubs, our club belongs to Lions Clubs
International, a worldwide network of 1.3 million men and women from 202 countries who all work together to bring assistance
and relief to people in need.
Lions Club International was originally founded in 1917 by
Mr. Melvin Jones of Chicago, Illinois. The original Lions Club mission, "To empower volunteers to serve their
communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs,"
continues to this day.

Today, as in the past, the Glocester Lions Club
is made up of a great group of people from a wide variety of different backgrounds. Despite whatever individual
differences we may have, our membership has built many long lasting friendships over the years. That camaraderie,
and the knowledge that we are all helping out the community we all live in, makes us proud to call ourselves Glocester
Lions. We encourage anyone in our neighborhood to consider becoming a member of our fine organization.

Lions Ron Malo and Tom D'Angelo
demonstrate the wonderful bond of camaraderie we all share as Glocester Lions - DESPITE whatever
differences we may have or how misguided our baseball loyalties may be.
The Lions Toast: "Not
Above You, Not Beneath You, But With You."
